Recognize that Captain Marvel promo piece?

Some crazy fanboy Photoshopped out my sig and made up a mock promo pic as if it was a real WB animation piece! That's hilarious. I'm flattered and confused at the same time.



The rumor is marked as 'green', meaning it's apparently been confirmed. So strange.

Wouldn't it just be hilarious if some sort of comedy of errors caused a Shazam! series to get greenlit?

On some level maybe I should be ticked but the whole thing is ridiculous. There's no artist credit on a promo image and no person has taken credit for it, it's just been dolled up to look like an official promo piece.

Hell, there's people now arguing on various Capt. Marvel forums whether the style of the 'upcoming show' is good or crappy... it's downright bizarre.

I'm sitting here reading fanboy rage about WB's design decisions and that it's too cartoony/wacky looking for a "Captain Marvel series that respects the character's rich heritage". Some fanboy mocked up this thing and has whipped the others in to a frenzy. It's like watching some kind of National Geographic special on animal attacks.

What's really curious is that, last I heard, a Cap series was impossible. Timm had to practically kill a few people just to get him on JLU those couple of episodes.

Doesn't mean that.

Amend on the way... the body of the piece (marvellous illustration aside) seems to hold up. Warners pushing for a big Shazam franchise.. expect to see symptoms shortly.

It might be an offshoot of the rumour that Jake Gyllenhaal is being pursued for a Live-Action Captain Marvel movie... But still, weird.

If the WB calls, tho...
