Captain Marvel Animated
Growing up, I was a Marvel Comics kind of kid. I almost never read any DC books or cared too much for their cast of heroes... except for good ol' Captain Marvel. Looking at his design now, I have no idea what makes him so interesting but his slightly goofy, yet somehow regal outfit still kicks butt after all these years.

Pencil drawing colored up in Photoshop. I really like that animated look with simple high contrast light/shadow cuts and soft colored lines.

My brother adores Captain Marvel to this day. For some reason though, I could never get behind the scientist and little kid merging into one mind and then saying a magic word to get their power.

You're right, i am. Captain Marvel is the one I'm always bitter about because they keep giving him more powers than Wonder Woman. That comment was probably pre-coffee. ;)

Wow that looks really good. I love the big red guy myself. I have been considering capturing Jeff Smith and forcing him to write Captain Marvel for the rest of his life but you may do. ;)

'tis a very nice drawing, I really like the shading. But Its totally the cape that brings out The Gay. :)

I think it's the elbows-out with hands on the upper thigh (instead of the hips) that really does it. Oh, and the up-turned chin with the goffy look in his eye.

The art is great, but the pose screams fabulous.
